Edit Scaled Part

What

This command allows you to modify, dimension, or annotate a scaled part created with the dedicated command.

Why

It is used to enter an “editing” environment for scaled parts, similar in concept to block editing.

How

When the command is launched, it prompts you to select the scaled part you want to edit. You can also select the current part by pressing ENTER.

The scaled part editing environment makes the part editable and resizes its geometries according to the overall scale of the TOP part. This allows you to draw within it without having to calculate dimensions based on a scale factor. A dedicated dimension style is also created so that dimensions remain correct even after exiting the editing phase.

The scaled part editing environment can be closed with the Finish Editing Scaled Part command. In any case, it is automatically closed if another part is activated, if the drawing is changed or closed, or if you switch to paper space.
