Start Scaled Part
What
The scaled part is always created at the first level (as a child of the Top part) and is set to "Not editable".
It can only be modified with the Edit Scaled Part e Finish Editing Scaled Part commands.
Why
It is used in model space to create parts or areas of the drawing with a different scale compared to the overall drawing scale. It is conceptually similar to viewports in layout space.
The part must be dimensioned by opening it in edit mode, so that its geometry is displayed with the correct scale factor.
- How
The command displays the dialog shown in the figure, a simplified version of the "New part" dialog.

From here, it is possible to assign a name to the part (also by retrieving it from text already placed in the drawing), aggregare geometrie, and define the reference point of the scaled part.
If geometries are selected, the reference point becomes mandatory, as it is required for the scaling operation.
It is also possible to assign a classification to the part.
An edit box allows you to enter the scale factor of the part being created.
If geometries have been selected to be included in the part, the “Scale geometries” checkbox becomes available. If selected, the chosen geometries will be scaled according to the specified factor, using the defined reference point.
Once confirmed, the scaled part is created: a non-editable part with a scale different from the rest of the drawing.
