Line creation it's not extremely necessary. piping can ben drawn even without creating a line. If the project is really complex,the project's branch organization can, without a doubt, help the design phases.

Branch creation follows the same criterion as the line creation. the branch is a sub-part of a line and it has the same configuration parameter.

the piping's creation dialog is divided in three forms. The first "General data" in contains the main characteristic of the line. every line has a serie of information associated:

Name: Line name

Description: Line description.

Number: Line number.

Branch: branch line number.

Area: Line Area.

Unit: Line MU.

Fluid: Line fluid.

Status: Line status.

NPS: Nominal Diameter of the line.

Class: Line class reference.


The second form "Pressures and temperatures" defines varius pressures and temperatures of the line:

The third forms "Other" contains the definitions of the standard characteristics of the varius elements of the line:

In particular, from this form, we can see PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), an apposit calculator to define the principal information relative of PED. Pressing the calculator button we'll get shown a dialog for the PED calculation:
