Calculate Surface

Ribbon: Top Mechanical Draw > Mechanical Annotations > Area

  • What
  • Calculates the surface of a closed outline in a layer.
  • Why
  • Quickly calculate the surface and write next to the outline a text with the exact measure.
  • How
  • Enter the command, select the point in the outline to examine. If it is not necessary to select other outlines, press Enter. A window is displayed with the calculated surface, with which is possible to insert the result as a text in the drawing. If so, insert the text’s dimensions and layering point.
