Make Blocks

Menu: Top > Specials > Blocks > Make

  • What
  • Allow you to creates a block.
  • Why
  • The command, as described hereinafter, manages blocks quickly, efficiently and intuitively. Top_BlcCrea selects the objects part of a block, and inserts the object’s descriptive image.
  • How
  • Differently from the traditional AutoCAD command, the name of the block is not requested, but automatically determined progressively. Select the objects, set an insertion point, and give a simple description which will be displayed in the block insertion dialogue-box (see Top_BlcIns).

Create Blocks

  • Once selected the objects, all the rest will momentarily be erased to create a slide used by the command Top_BlcIns.
  • Maximum number of manageable blocks: 108.
  • The drawing file and the slide which define the blocks are saved in the TOPBLK directory, in the path set by the variable Top_BlkPath in the customization file TOP.PRS. If this path is not specified, the TOPBLK directory will be created in the TOP directory.
