Copy Part

What

Copies the graphic elements of the indicated part and its subparts as children of the current part, duplicating the relative part and possibly the relative subparts. The command is not available if the active part has been made non-editable.

Why

It is used when you want to bring parts, previously created on the current drawing, to different positions of the drawing. The information related to the parts is also copied, in addition to any non-editability setting.

How

You need to indicate a graphic element of the part to be copied, then perform the copy operations (See AutoCAD command).

Note

If the part selected during the command is at a lower hierarchical level than one of the child parts of the current part, the application displays the extended selection dialog .

The command triggers the AutoSnap mechanism:  If the selected part has at least one Snap defined, it will be possible to exploit the magnet effect with other parts equipped with Snap.
