The command allows you to draw a 3D insulation. The insulation is drawn in a non-constructive mode, simply to indicate its presence and allow it to be estimated in the bill of materials.

The insulation allows you to indicate some dimensional aspects to estimate the correct space occupation in the drawing. The "offset" parameter allows you to insert a margin between the start and end points of the pipe and the start and end points of the insulation.

The insertion phase begins by requesting the first point and offers the following options:

  • Default: Insertion by connector. The length is also requested, and it can be entered via keyboard or selected in the CAD graphical area.
  • Point: Insertion by point and direction. The length is also requested, and it can be entered via keyboard or selected in the CAD graphical area.
  • Pipe: Allows you to select an existing straight pipe and "coat" it with insulation. In this case, there are no further requests.

The insulation part is created complete with its metadata, and the length value is automatically assigned.
