The command allows you to draw flanges in 3D. The types of flanges available are many and vary significantly between different models.

Tipologie di Flange:

Threaded                                SocketWelding                        Blind                                        Lapped                                Slip-on Welding

Welding Neck                        Long Welding Neck                        Flat Lap Joint Welding                Loose Plate for Plate Collar                Loose Plate for Weld Collar

The flange provides an option to draw the holes. The choice is up to the designer, depending on the level of detail they wish to provide in the graphics.

Once the type and dimensions of the flange are selected, the insertion phase begins.
The insertion options are the standard ones: Connector and Point-Direction. After the component is inserted, a confirmation prompt will appear. If the flange's insertion side is not the desired one, the flip option is also offered to reverse the flange to the correct orientation.

The flange insertion phase is slightly different from the basic one. Since flanges need to be paired, during insertion, it is possible to select both a pipe and a flange. The software automatically deduces the positioning and orientation of the flange based on the selection.

Using the connector insertion method, it is important to carefully select the connector from the correct side of the component.

Flanged Connection
By using the correct sequence of pipe and flange components, it is possible to create a flanged connection with just a few operations.
A flanged connection consists of the following components:

Not all components are mandatory, and for some, a symbolic representation is provided.

It is important to note that the positioning of pipes and flanges is carried out consistently with the type of flange selected. In the case of a threaded flange, the pipe is "inserted" into the flange, leaving a standard gap at the flange's face.

When inserting a flange in a coupling, the software will ask whether you want to create a flanged connection.

Graphically, there is no difference, but a part is created that contains the two flanges and any accessory components, such as the gasket and bolts.
