Delete Empty Parts

What

This command deletes all parts that do not contain graphics (and are therefore considered empty ) and that have no child parts.

If the part has daughters, it will be deleted only if all of its daughters at any level are also empty.

Why

It is necessary when you have performed a deletion of graphic entities with the Delete command of the basic CAD and you want to eliminate from the parts tree all those parts that no longer have a graphic correspondence.

How

By launching the command, the confirmation dialog shown in the figure will be displayed.

Filter  allows a more effective selection of the parts to be eliminated: it displays the tree of the drawing parts in a dedicated dialog box, giving the user the possibility to deselect the empty parts that he does not intend to eliminate.

Note

From the options you can choose whether or not to display the confirmation dialog for deleting parts.

Once the empty parts are deleted, the list of deleted parts will be printed to the command line.

From the navigator context menu it is possible to set the parts as NOT deletable by the delete empty parts tool.
