Navigator is a tool conceived to help the designer to access the parts. It is a natural parts tree complement introduced with TOP v. 5.0. The navigator is simple to use. It directly controls the parts on the drawing without using icons or the parts tree. The most common operations are: “activate part”, “erase part”, “enhancement control” and “zoom”.

Operation

To activate/deactivate the command just click on the icon displayed on the image, which is on the Part Management Toolbar, or digit NavToolbar on the command line. Moving with the navigator active in the AutoCAD model space, TOP can analyze the entities which the mouse cursor. TOP can access to the entity’s part. You can directly work on the drawing.

The Navigator can always be active. When AutoCAD, or a TOP command, is executed, the Navigator automatically is deactivated and re-activated at the end of the command. When near the entity, click on the mouse’s right button and a contextual menu is displayed. It allows to work with different commands on the below part. Let’s now analyze the available commands.
