Rotate Part

Ribbon: Top Parts > Edit > Rotate

  • What
  • Rotates graphical elements of the selected part, and subparts. The command doesn't work on child part of non-modifiable part. Because those parts are considered as a piece of the parent part and so you can't modify them. However, you can freely rotate non-modificable part with children, because it won't change the part structure: TOP interprets it only as a repositioning.
  • Why
  • To rotate parts, previously created, on the current drawing.
  • How
  • Select the part’s graphical element to rotate and carry out the same rotate command operations (see AutoCAD command).

[Nota]

Nota

If the selected part is of a lower hierarchical level than one of the children parts of the current part, the application displays a selection dialogue (see command Top_Cp_Prt).

The command triggers the AutoSnap's mechanism, which means that if the choice part has a Snap, it will magnetize to another part if it also has a Snap.
