RevsChain
Calculate Number of Revolutions
Ribbon: Top Mechanical Draw > Transmissions > Compute RPM
- What
- Displays to monitor, in a non-persistent way, the number of revolutions of every sprocket or pulley.
- Why
- This command allows you to calculate the number of revolutions of sprockets and pulleys that make up the transmission, useful for the purpose of verifying and eventually proportioning transmission components conveniently.
- How
- Once entered the command, user will be asked to select a pulley or a sprocket, the command will be able to recover automatically the type of selected transmission and will ask the user the linear speed of a sprocket\pulley in particular, or of a chain\belt. Once obtained this data, on the grounds of sprocket/pulley diameters involved, the linear velocity of each component will be calculated and will be shown below. When you press "ENTER" values are removed and drawing reactivated; but if the user leaves the command by pressing "ESC" the function is interrupted and the values are not removed in order to be used when printing.
